Herstory
Being a Sagittarius, I’ve spent most of my life feeling the quiet ache of purpose - knowing I was meant for something specific, something sacred, even if I couldn’t yet name it.
A beloved teacher once told me that our purpose often lives in what we loved most as children. What made you lose all sense of time? What filled you with pure joy? she would ask.
When I look back, the memory that instantly lights me up is this:
me, sitting on the floor of my bedroom, opening lip balm tins and solid perfume balms like they were treasure chests. I would inhale their sweet aromas for what felt like hours. The ornate designs on the tins, the soft scents inside, they felt like gentle hugs from a source I didn’t yet understand.
Something ancient.
Something comforting.
Something that remembered me.
I didn’t know it then, but that was the beginning.
I’ve been a registered nurse for 30 years and a certified aromatherapist for a decade, taught aromatherapy in my community, and continue to hold space for women in a monthly circle - always returning to scent as a doorway to healing, belonging, and remembrance.
And now, full circle, Sacred Essence Rituals is the expression of that lifelong thread.
A product line that connects women to the greater collective of feminine energy.
A way to remember who we were before the world told us who to be.
